Bundy Food Tours
Le Cordon Bleu Master of Gastronomic Tourism graduate Suzie Clarke provides fully guided tours of the culinary hot spots in Bundaberg. The variety of tours provide direct access for you to engage with food producers and flower farmers in the Bundaberg region. You will hear family farming stories, sample produce and be surprised and delighted at what the region has to offer. A sumptuous morning or afternoon tea is provided prepared with local ingredients.
Join our guided food tours visiting 4- 5 farms and a butcher shop or a seafood business in the Bundaberg region. Meet farmers, fisherman and butchers and hear about generations of farming in the Bundaberg region on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a sumptuous picnic on a farm during your 4 and 1/2 hour tour in air conditioned comfort with a small group of like minded people who love food and learning about how it is grown and seeing it first hand on the farm. Our food producers love sharing their stories with locals and visitors to our beautiful region. They also love to meet people from different background who share an interest in food. It is a great opportunity to taste and collect fresh ingredients and flowers to take home. We currently have three different tours, one on the north side and one on the south side of Bundaberg and a Saturday Taste of Bundaberg tour. Each area has different soil and diverse crops from strawberries to beans and Tahitian limes to sweet potatoes and roses. You will love learning about growing and producing everyday fresh ingredients and exotic fruits such as dragonfruit. We can't wait to introduce you to the farmers of the fertile soil so close to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Bundaberg food producers nurture the nation with an abundance of raw and beautiful produce.
