"The Barrel" continues the fine Australian tradition of big iconic landmarks such as the "Big Banana" and the "Big Marino" and represents the wooden barrels that were made by coopers for the brewers to store their drinks in days gone by. Few people will be able to go past a quick visit to experience "The Barrel" and the interactive tour that takes place within.
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, makers of the iconic Ginger Beer, have closed its tourist facility temporarily, known as the Barrel, at the Bargara Road Brewery for renovations. The Barrel is currently closed and will be reopening in time for Christmas. During the renovations you can visit a Pop Up Shop located next to the Barrel on Bargara Road where you can purchase brews at great prices. We are proud to call Bundaberg our home for the last 50 years and are happy to do our part to help showcase the Bundaberg North Burnett region, while bringing the Bundaberg Brewed Drinks story to life for visitors, when the Barrel re-opens in time for the Christmas holidays. Bundaberg has been brewing its world-renowned drinks for three generations, perfecting its craftsman brewing process to deliver an unsurpassed depth and roundness of flavour. Brewing to traditional recipes, using time-honoured brewing methods, and the best quality ingredients. Guided by the rule, “If it’s worth brewing; it’s worth brewing well”. Now available in over 44 countries globally, Bundaberg Ginger Beer is still craft-brewed in the Australian town that shares its name to a traditional recipe, using locally-sourced ginger.
